SHOE POWER: NEW DELHI INCIDENT HAD RCMP WORRIED IN VANCOUVER

Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 Sikh massacre in India’s capital by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reverberated all the way to Vancouver with the RCMP Integrated National Security Enforcement Team worried that the Indian Consul General Ashok Das would be attacked with shoes at the Vaisakhi parade.

United Sikhs organization and law-firm Storzer and Greene LLC secured a settlement that included $20,000 in compensation for Pyara Singh’s family, training for the facilities' staff, and adoption of hospital care guidelines specific for the care of Sikh patients as part of the staff training materials. SIKHS CALL FOR AN END TO RELIGIOUS BAN IN THE U.S. ARMY
