In an extensive interview with The VOICE on Monday, Dr. Gordon pointed out that the initiative for the establishment of regional or metro police force had to come from the Solicitor General because the mayors would like to cling on to their “little private armies” – the municipal police forces or the RCMP detachment in each city or town.
