IMMIGRATION LAWYER KURLAND: CHANGES A STEP BACK 50 YEARS IN TIME, BUREAUCRATS WANT 100 PER CENT CONTROL

Well-known immigration lawyer Richard Kurland says that the Conservative government's proposal to replace the "rights" to a visa that the Liberal government had given foreign nationals in 2002 if they met all conditions for visa issuance with "privileges" - which means that a visa can be refused by immigration officials even when all preconditions are met - is a step back 50 years in time.
