| In Nature He Dwells |

In this article let us try to trace the existence and prevalence of the Lord in His nature. When we look at the jungles with an eye of observance, we can visualize and feel His existence in the trees, leaves, bushes and in the linear floral. Guru Arjan Dev ji narrates this on page 134 of the S.G.G.S.: "The forest and grass blades are refreshed with the love of the omnipotent, all pervading and infinite Lord."
His love exists even in leaves and flowers and keeps the whole nature together. It is the great link between the floral world else everything will grow and flourish in its own way. It is His love in the forests and grass that binds the whole nature together. Writers look for inspiration and motivation in the beauty of nature that has no other comparison. The beautiful wild flowers that simply grow and blossom add terrific elegance and comeliness to the seemliness and nature. They grow without any impediments and flourish in the natural way they find by themselves.
Guru Arjan Dev ji narrates this fact on page 217 of the S.G.G.S.: "Thou art in the forest, vegetation and the three worlds. Thou givest peace and supreme bliss. With Thee my bridal bed looks beauteous, and this soul of mine blooms."
There is no corner of the world that is not illumined by your Light 0' Lord. Thou art existent and prevalent everywhere. You are the cherisher of the universe. You are the soul and life of the universe Thou are existent in every nook and corner of the world. In the woods, the vegetation and the three worlds you are fully pervading. The sea, the dry land and the tank are completely saturated with Your Name. There is no place that is empty. You have given greenery to the jungles, the grass blades and the three worlds. You are the Creator and shower benediction on all the human beings and lower animals. As you are merciful and compassionate, all are satisfied and happy under Your Command.
You are the Creator and You created all this nature in a moment. You look after Your own creation and You have assigned different tasks to different human beings. All that happens is Thy doing. There is nothing ours in it.
Guru Ram Das ji says on page 540 : "The earth, nether-world and firmament 0 my soul, all meditate on the Lord Master's Name. The wind, the water and the fire, 0 my soul, ever hymn the praise of Lord God, the Master. The woods, the grass blades and the whole world, 0 my soul, utter with their mouths the Lord Master's Name."
The forests, the vegetation and the three worlds have grown green and the Lord has given support to all the sentient beings. A disciple of Guru Nanak Dev ji obtains his heart's desired fruits and the Master himself goes to fulfill his wishes. Whatever his servant asks of His Master that he gets done instantly. I see him in the jungles, the vegetation, in the grass-blades and in the three worlds and I am bewitched by the loveliness and beauty of nature. I wandered searching Him in the forests and grassy-blades, but now I reflect on Him in my very mind. Even the treasure of the myriad of pearls, jewels and emeralds is in the hands of the Great Master. He has kept the bounties in His hands and gives to those whom he pleases.
You are the life of the world, the Master of the Universe and the Creator-Lord of all the creation. Thou are fully contained in the ocean, land and sky. You are the true Master and the over Lord of all.
Guru Arjan Dev ji says on page 1193: "Obtaining the ambrosial fruit of the Name, the woods, grass and the three worlds have bloomed." Anyway, everything and everyone is under Your command and You are the adjudicator. The creation of Yours is your throne and you are the Master of all your beautiful creation. Guru Nanak Dev ji narrates this view on page 464 of the S.G.G.S.: "By Thy power we see, by thy power we hear and by Thy power we fear and have the essence of happiness. By Thine power exist the nether regions and skies and by Thine power exits the entire creation.
"By Thy power is eating, drinking and dressing and by Thy power is all love. Everything in this universe goes on by Thy power and the entire universe is under Your control."
