Canadian Cancer Society and Sikh Temple congregation press for smoke-free bylaw
On Sunday, January 22, the Canadian Cancer Society and the congregation of the Abbotsford Sikh temple Gurdwara Sahib Kalghidar Darbar signed over 100 letters urging the Abbotsford City Council to pass a smoke free zone bylaw at their council meeting. This bylaw would prohibit smoking at the entrances to municipal facilities, at playgrounds and outdoor sporting venues.
