Mahilpur, located in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, is well known as a soccer village and has produced some of the top players in India. This past weekend, a group of young Canadian kids from Greater Vancouver, all with Mahilpur roots, represented their village and competed all the way to a 2-1 final, losing to the local Hurricanes soccer club.
