Supreme Court of Canada's decision on kirpan a slap in the face to Quebec bigots
The Supreme Court of Canada in an 8-0 decision overturned a Quebec Court of Appeals ruling and made it very clear to bigots in Quebec and elsewhere that "religious tolerance is a very important value of Canadian society," and that "a total prohibition against wearing a kirpan to school undermines the value of this religious symbol and sends students the message that some religious practices do not merit the same protection as others."

National Parole Board decides to keep Inderjit Singh Reyat behind bars
