Vancouver Police make arrest following early morning double stabbing

ONE man has been arrested and two people are in hospital, following an early morning stabbing on Tuesday in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Vancouver Police received a report of a disturbance in the area of Princess Avenue near Powell Street just after 5:30 a.m. on February 20. Officers located a 49-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds. They were both rushed to hospital with serious, but what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The male suspect and the victims know each other. The 23-year-old suspect was arrested nearby and charges are pending.

It is still early in the investigation and there is no additional information to share at this time, police said.
