Chilliwack double homicide: Police hunt for Aaron James David Douglas

 

DOUGLASTHE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced on Monday that a Canada wide arrest warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Aaron James David Douglas (see photo) in connection with the double homicide of two men and attempted murder of a female inside a Chilliwack residence on August 7. Douglas has a criminal record dating back to 1996 and is believed to be armed and dangerous.

“IHIT is asking the public to be vigilant and call 911 if you know the whereabouts of Aaron Douglas.  Do not approach him or attempt to apprehend him yourself as he may be armed and dangerous,” said Staff-Sgt. Jennifer Pound.

The two homicide victims have been identified as 38-year-old Richard Blackmon and 36-year-old Tyler Belcourt.  The female victim will not be identified.

RCMP responded to a call of shots fired in the 46100 block of Gore Avenue in Chilliwack in the early morning hours of August 7 and discovered that three people were shot.
