Ten local officers recognized at BC Police Honours Night

Surrey RCMP congratulates the ten Surrey detachment officers who were recognized for their extraordinary accomplishments at this year’s BC Police Honours Night held on November 22nd, 2012.

• Sergeant Drew Grainger and Corporal Marc Searle for their dedication and commitment to the people of the ‘strip’ in Surrey – an area known for high crime rates and people in need.

• Corporal Michael Hall for his work as a primary investigator on a file that resulted in a conviction of a high level organized crime figure in Surrey.

• (Name withheld) (now with Richmond) and Corporal Heather Matthew for their work in a file involving a member of the Canada Border Service Agency agent who assaulted women crossing the border in Surrey.

• Constable Tanya Hermann for her work and compassion after attending a homicide and then meeting with the victim’s mother immediately afterward in Surrey.

• Constable Leanne Krauss and Constable Amberia Sovdi for their work and dedication on a sexual assault file involving minors in Surrey that resulted in a conviction.

• Constable Lucas Sovio and Constable Ranjit Seehra for their work dealing with an intoxicated and violent suspect with a rifle in Surrey.
