Brampton – Investigators from the Commercial Auto Unit have made two arrests in regards to the theft of 210 43” and 32” Samsung plasma televisions from a Brampton truck compound.

On Wednesday November 7th, 2012 a trailer containing 210 Samsung televisions with a value of approximately $200 000 was stolen from a trucking yard located at 265 Rutherford Road in Brampton.

The trailer was located empty in the City of Vaughn later the same date. On November 10th the entire load of televisions was located in a warehouse at 69 Westmore Drive in the City of Toronto.

On November 16, 2012 after issuing an arrest warrant, Police arrested and charged Sukhvir SINGH, 31 year-old resident of Brampton. Mr. Singh has been charged with three counts of Theft Over $5000 and was held for a bail hearing.

Investigators have also arrested and charged a second individual, in relation to these matters.

Ranjit SINGH, a 35 year-old resident of Brampton, has been arrested and charged with three counts of Theft Over $5000, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, on January 7, 2013.
