Shooting in Surrey’s Cloverdale area

SURREY RCMP are currently on scene in the Cloverdale area of Surrey for
a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 10:55 a.m. on Sunday (October 8), Surrey RCMP responded to a
report of shots fired at an occupied vehicle in the 17200-block of 65th
Avenue. The vehicle and a nearby residence were struck, however
thankfully no one was injured during the incident.

The initial investigation has revealed that a dark-coloured Chevy,
possibly a Malibu, was seen fleeing the scene shortly afterward the
incident, heading east on 64th Avenue. There are no other suspect
descriptions available at this time.

Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with
witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in
its early stages but initial indications are that this is likely a
targeted incident.

anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or
