THE BC Coroners Service has confirmed that Amrik Singh Gill, 59, of Delta died after a motor vehicle incident in Burnaby on Monday (September 15).

The service said in a press statement: “On the evening of Sept. 15, 2014, Mr. Gill was working as a security guard at a site in Burnaby which was being set up for a film shoot the next day. An unattended truck rolled backwards and struck him. Mr. Gill was immediately rushed to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at hospital.”

The BC Coroners Service, WorkSafeBC, and RCMP continue to investigate the death.
