Rotaract Singfest Vocal Competition on the lookout fro vocalists

MISSISSAUGA: Auditions are now open for Rotaract Singfest 2015! The Mississauga Arts Council’s Limelight Association of Young Artists and Rotaract Mississauga looking for Mississauga’s next great vocal talent.
The Rotaract Singfest Vocal Competition are looking for youth vocalists to audition for a chance to become the 2014 Singfest star! Produced by the Rotaract Club of Mississauga in collaboration with the Mississauga Arts Council, the competition is looking for one musician to earn their big break. The winner receives studio recording time at Metalworks, prizes, and press coverage.

Auditions for the first round of Rotaract Singfest can be done online. Contestants must upload a two-minute video of them singing their favourite track to YouTube, then use the registration form to let Rotaract Singfest know you would like to enter. Forms can be found at www.singfest.ca. Singers will then be added to the Singfest 2015 playlist.

The next two rounds are live, with the field whittled to 40 contestants for round two and a mere 20 for the final showcase. The final showcase will be held on July 18 as part of the Mississauga Ribfest. Our semifinalists will be performing on the Celebration Square Stage! At each level candidates have the change to perform in front of top industry talent, and receive feedback to help them guide their careers.

Rotaract Singfest is open to residents of Mississauga who are between 14 – 22 years of age. Proof of age will be required to compete.
