Philippines become top source country for permanent residents. Harper Government playing games with Indians, Chinese?

CANADA welcomed more than 40,000 permanent residents from the Philippines in 2014—up over 30 percent from 2013, making the Philippines Canada’s top source country for permanent residents last year.

The government says that immigration is a key element of Canadian culture. Since 2010, Canada has welcomed an average of more than 260,000 permanent residents each year.

Over 700,000 Canadian residents can trace their ancestry back to the Philippines, and a growing number of Filipino citizens visit family and friends in Canada, study at Canadian colleges and universities, or immigrate to Canada as permanent residents, says the government.

But Indians and Chinese are wondering whether the Harper Government is playing games with them!
