One person in custody in connection to fatal house fire in Surrey

ONE person is in custody in connection to a fatal house fire in the 12300-block of 112A Street in Surrey on Thursday.
On September 7, at approximately 12:41 a.m., Surrey RCMP received a call from Surrey Fire Services about a structure fire at the residence. Police found a dead male inside the house.
The initial investigation has determined that the male died under suspicious circumstances and the cause of the fire has also been deemed suspicious.
Surrey RCMP said early indications are that this does not appear to be a random incident and is between individuals known to each other.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called in and is working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP.
