NORTH Delta Environmental League is a network of high school students doing volunteer work towards sustainability. Group members Harleen Dhami, Kucia Lin, Simran Grewal and Sarthak Garg from North Delta and Seaquam secondary schools have launched a public service campaign about sustainability with the support of the Delta School District and the Corporation of Delta.

The campaign will raise awareness about energy consumption, waste management and water management. The campaign is a poster contest open to all Delta students from kindergarten to grade 12. The intent of the poster contest is to have the youth of Delta come up with inspiring artwork and messages to convey the three themes.

The winning posters will be used as the main marketing tool and will be placed all around the City of Delta. There will be six winners plus a grand prize winner. The grand prize winner will receive $400 from South Shore Cycle to purchase a bicycle.

HEADLINES GREEN 2Submissions will be accepted until October 25.
