Man murdered in targeted hit in Richmond

ON Monday (September 18), just after 3:04 a.m., the Richmond RCMP were called to the 7500-block of Bridge Street for a report of a possible shooting. Police found an adult victim and in spite of all attempts to revive him, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say that based on their preliminary investigation, the murder does not appear to be a random act.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with the Richmond RCMP. Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.
