Bachan Bedil, a famous Punjabi lyricist from Sangrur, has written over 600 songs and has his own recording studio in Sangrur. His famous hits include… luck 28 kuri da, 47 weight kuri da.

`Luck 28 became very popular but I was not very satisfied with that. It became a little bit of a teasing number but I`m more into family type of music that can be enjoyed by everyone,`said Bachan Bedil while speaking with The Voice over the phone from Sangrur, India.

Now Bedil is looking forward to the release of his latest movie Moga to Melbourne via Chandigarh. `The story of this film has been jointly written by me and Bhagwant Mann and all the songs of this movie have been written by me. The release of this movie is next month and I am very hopeful that this movie will do very well,“ said Bedil.
Moga to Melbourne Via Chandigarh is the second upcoming movie of Ravinder Grewal after Aive Raula Pai Gya. This time Ravinder Grewal has paired up with Harjit Harman and Bhagwant Mann under the banner of Azure Productions.

Moga to Melbourne Via Chandigarh is said to be a comedy movie.

The shooting of the film was done in and around Chandigarh. Renowned Punjabi singers Ravinder Grewal, Harjit Harman, Bhagwant Mann, Aman Grewal, Daljit Kaur and Manpreet Kaur figure in this upcoming Punjabi flick. Moga, situated at the gateway of Doaba region of Punjab, more known as the NRI belt, has many families who have shifted base to US, UK, Canada, Australia and other European countries.

Bedil started writing songs at the age of 18 and now he is a seasoned Punjabi lyricist with 25 years experience. Bedil came to Canada more than fifteen years ago and now he plans to come again to do a show here in Canada.
Bedil has also written many books in Punjabi and one of his most famous books “Pind Awazan Marda” is also available at all Surrey libraries in BC.
