A teenager who was reported missing after making a panicked phone call last night has been found safe.

Mohsin Shah, 18, and his SUV were found on the north side of Highway 1 at No. 3 Road.

Police say Shah called for help, saying he was with people — but now he is alone.

Constable Ian MacDonald tells us they are looking into the possibility this may have been an attempted abduction.

He explains Shah called a friend last night, saying he was in trouble and that his family and police must be called. “He sounded very panicked, according to his friend. He sounded almost out of breath, possibly like he was running.”

The phone conversation was cut off.

“He’s not an individual who’s had previous negative contact with police. We don’t believe that there are any gang or drug ties to Mr. Shah,” adds MacDonald.
