A passerby called 911 to report that a male was slumped partially outside of his vehicle in a driveway of a residence in the 2200-block of Clearbrook Road in Abbotsford at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service and BC Ambulance Service arrived in the area and located the injured male.  BC Ambulance Service immediately transported the male to hospital.

Abbotsford Police patrol officers arrived at the hospital to find a male suffering from puncture wound injuries consistent with a stabbing.  A 38-year-old man is currently being treated by medical personal and remains in serious condition. 

Major Crime detectives and the Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate this incident.
