VANCOUVER Police are investigating a shooting on the Downtown Eastside, which left a man in his thirties with life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the shooting occurred inside a building near East Hastings Street and Princess Avenue around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. The victim was located outside the building and given medical attention at the scene, before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

One person was arrested at the crime scene. VPD investigators are working to determine if there are additional suspects at large. Police will be in the area on Sunday collecting evidence and looking for witnesses.
