Delta Police looking for two white male suspects in an interrupted break and enter

ON Wednesday (September 27), at approximately 5:30 p.m., Delta Police were called to a residence in the 4900-block of 5th Avenue in south Delta in response to a break and enter that had just occurred.

The resident had been away from their house for a few hours and upon returning found the garage and door leading into the house insecure. The complainant yelled into the house and two males emerged and fled from inside the residence.

The suspects are described as:

* White male, 40 years, wearing a baseball cap, dark shirt and dark shorts
* White male, 40 years, wearing a baseball cap, and the resident’s brown and gold ‘UPS’ vest and dark shorts. He was carrying a black Callaway backpack (which was also stolen from the residence).
Police conducted area patrols and deployed K9 but suspects were not located. Forensic officers attended the scene to gather any evidence that may have been left behind by the suspects.

The investigation into this incident continues.

Police say the complainant did the right thing by yelling into the house before entering and calling police right away. Delta Police are reminding the public to call and report any suspicious activity or person in their neighbourhood.
