Lock down lifted at Langley Secondary
The lock down at Langley Secondary on Monday ended, a few hours after being put in place on Jan. 30.
“Police searched carefully, and did not located any weapons or dangerous items during the lock down,” says Corporal Holly Marks, spokesperson for Langley RCMP. There were no injuries, or reports of shots fired.
Based on the information received when the report of a firearm was called in anonymously, police responded with an abundance of caution, to ensure the safety of all staff and students.
“Our thanks to the media, who helped us get out accurate information, and to the parents for their patience during this stressful event,” says Cpl. Marks. ”We’re happy we could wrap this up quickly, and that the students and staff were safe.”
