An 18-year-old dangerous driving suspect wanted by Edmonton police has been arrested.

A public safety warning had been issued earlier this week for Karn Sandhu, 18, after police received several complaints of a man driving a vehicle erratically. Police observed Sandhu driving dangerously in a stolen car from Nov. 12 to 16 but were unable to intercept safely.

On Monday, police located the stolen car at a residence, but when officers attempted to block it in the driveway, the vehicle, operated by Sandhu, allegedly reversed and struck several police cars before getting away.

On Wednesday, officers found the stolen vehicle but were still searching for Sandhu.

Police tell CTV News Sandhu was arrested Friday afternoon in Edmonton, with the help of the EPS tactical unit.

Twenty-one warrants have been executed against him.

There are no details of a court appearance at this time
