TORONTO-Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning has received a gift from NBCUniversal Canada that will be used to improve production suites and purchase equipment for the industry-leading Film and Media Production degree program. The enhanced NBCUniversal Production Suites will feature industry-standard equipment and software, benefitting more than 200 students in the program.

The unveiling ceremony will take place in the NBCUniversal Productions Suites in the Lakeshore Commons on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Humber’s Lakeshore Campus.
“NBCUniversal’s gift is a watershed moment for the Film and Media Production degree. It recognizes the quality of our students, the faculty, the program and how well prepared our graduates are for the industry,” said Chris Whitaker, president, Humber. “This generous contribution will help Humber to continue to innovate and will provide students in film, television and media programs with modern equipment and facilities as we prepare them for the jobs of the future.”

The Humber community will also benefit from the NBCUniversal Production Suites, which will be used for training programs for the Directors Guild of Canada and Women in Film and Television of Toronto.
