Shots fired in area of Rupert Street and Grandview Highway in east Vancouver

VANCOUVER Police are investigating shots fired on Tuesday night in an east Vancouver neighbourhood. There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made.
Just after 11:30 p.m. on August 29, the Vancouver Police Department received 911 calls reporting what callers described as gunshots in the area near East 22nd Avenue and Rupert Street. Officers searched the area and spoke with several people who were in the neighbourhood at the time, but were unable to confirm that shots were fired.
Officers returned to the area this morning and collected evidence that shots had indeed been fired the night before. It appears a residence was targeted in the area of Rupert Street and Grandview Highway. There was nothing to indicate that anyone was injured during the incident.
Detectives from the VPD’s Organized Crime Section are leading this investigation and are making attempts to determine who is responsible for the shots fired.
