LANGLEY — A Friday morning “code yellow” lockdown at Brookswood Secondary School in Langley was lifted after some hours.

Sandy Wakling with the Langley School Board said Mounties and school staff wanted to take every precaution after some comments showed up online.

“But… lockdown [was] out of an abundance of caution because of some comments that were made in an online format,” he said. Wakling said all students are safe.

During a code yellow lockdown, kids are kept inside classrooms.

The RCMP is expected to issue a statement soon.
