Cooperation among several police forces leads to interception of stolen truck and arrest

SURREY RCMP say that at approximately 2 p.m., police officers intercepted a stolen black Ford F150 truck after it was involved in a collision in the 3800-block of Nithsdate Street in Burnaby. No one was injured in the collision.

The truck was reported stolen in Langley in the early morning hours of September 21.

Through a coordinated effort which involved officers from Langley RCMP, Surrey RCMP, Burnaby RCMP, New Westminster Police, Vancouver Police, and the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, as well as Air 1, an adult male was taken into police custody.

No charges have been laid as the investigation is ongoing.
