SINCE 2009, the organizers of the Apna Truck Show have been using the event to support the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada, BC and Yukon Chapter. This year they are taking things to the next level with an extraordinary raffle, featuring a grand prize of a 53-foot Hyundai Composite dry van semi-trailer – valued at over $40,000 – or the option to choose a $20,000 cash prize. This huge gift has been donated by Hyundai Translead and Kingpin Trailers Limited.

Tickets are available at www.childrenswish.ca/apnaraffle or can be purchased at the Apna Truck Show, June 10-11 at Tradex Abbotsford.

“We are so thrilled to have a lasting partnership with the Apna Truck Show,” said Jennifer Petersen, Children’s Wish BC and Yukon Provincial Director. “As Surrey continues to grow, sadly the need for wishes in the community does too. It is really wonderful that our friends at Apna have stepped up to support this need.”

The Apna Truck Show is BC’s premiere trucking industry event. It features a job fair, a show and shine, non-stop entertainment, and a VIP dinner. The Apna Truck Show is not just for those in the trucking industry. The gala is a family event because the trucking industry is a family business.

Over the past five years, Children’s Wish has granted 56 wishes to children facing life-threatening illnesses in Surrey, the most of any community in the province.  There are currently 46 children and their families planning their most heartfelt wish.

Thanks to the support of the Apna truck show, Hyundai Translead and Kingpin Trailers Limited, Children’s Wish is better able to meet this need to grant wishes like Mady, a resident of Surrey, who was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. Mady’s wish was to go to Disneyland to meet her favourite princesses.
