FORMER Education Minister Mike Bernier announced on Saturday that he has dropped out of the BC Liberal leadership race. He will be campaign co-chair for Mike De Jong.

Tomorrow (Sunday), the BC Liberals will be holding their first leadership debate. It takes place at Surrey’s Crown Palace Banquet Hall at 12025 Nordel Way in Surrey.

This will be the first of six leadership debates to be held in regions throughout the province. This event is free of charge and open to the public. Party members were to submit themes and questions in advance of the debate.

The debate will also be streamed on Facebook Live. Doors will open at 1:15 p.m. and the program will begin at 2 p.m.
