Abbotsford Police appeal for witnesses, dashcam footage in pedestrian accident

ABBOTSFORD Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage in Monday’s accident in which three pedestrians – a grandmother and her two young grandsons – were struck by a Toyota Yaris on Ridgeview Drive, east of the intersection with Townline Road at 8:17 a.m.

The Abbotsford Police General Investigation investigators have been speaking to witnesses and collecting CCTV to determine the causes for the incident.

The victims were transported to hospitals by BC Ambulance Service. The youngest, two years old, was released with minor injuries from hospital on Monday afternoon. A five-year-old child remains in hospital with a broken femur and under observation by medical practitioners. The grandmother remains in hospital in stable but serious condition.

The driver of the Toyota remained on scene and has been cooperating with investigators.
