THE human remains that were located by a citizen in a field in the 1600-block of Riverside Road in Abbotsford last Monday have been determined to be those of 52-year-old Deborah (Debbie) Ann Hycha, Abbotsford Police announced on Thursday.

The preliminary investigation indicates that this is not a suspicious death.

Under the supervision of the BC Coroners Service, the Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit had collected forensic evidence related to the discovery.

Deborah was last seen in Abbotsford in May 2017, and was reported missing by her family in June 2017.
